
Khalil Rabiei, P.E. is the President of Optimum Engineering
Solutions, a Registered Professional Engineer, and a part-time
instructor at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where
he teaches graduate level design and analysis courses.
Before forming Optimum Engineering Solutions, he was the Engineering
Manager for Nooter Consulting Services in St. Louis, Missouri.
Khalil is a member of American Petroleum Institute (API) where
he serves as a member of the Design and Fitness For Service (FFS)
committees.
Khalil has published several papers in the area of deterministic
and random vibrations. His last paper, "Comparison of static to
dynamic nozzle loads on a brick-lined oxygen reactor", was presented
on April 2001 at the World Congress for Finite Element Analyses
in Como, Italy. He has performed and managed numerous multi-million
dollar projects for companies such as, DuPont, Exxon, BP Amoco,
Samsung, ABB Lummus, and Boeing.
Khalil's expertise includes but is not limited to FFS, ASME Section
VIII Division 1,2 & 3, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite
Element Analysis (FEA), Fatigue, Creep, Buckling and vibration
in both linear and non-linear analyses.
